Having clear skin does not always require the purchase of expensive products. In many cases, those products don't really work as well as they promise anyway. There are hundreds of home remedies for clear skin. Some work, and some don't. What you must remember is that what works for some people, does not work for others. We all have different skin types, and our bodies respond to various treatments in different ways.

However, there are many common home remedies for clear skin that work for the majority of people. These home remedies are very cheap and easy to make. Some don't require making anything at all. Some home remedies for clear skin simply involve the use of essential oils, which can be purchased in a health food store for a minimal cost.

When using home remedies for clear skin, make sure that you open the pores before applying the treatment, then close the pores when you are finished. Warm or hot water opens pores, and cold water closes them. You should splash your face with cold water before applying makeup. This will keep the makeup from penetrating the pores, which can cause acne or pimples to breakout.

Here are some other home remedies for clear skin:

1. Use witch hazel as an astringent. Make sure pores are open first.

2. Instead of doing acid peels to remove scars, rub a fresh cut lemon on your skin instead. It may take a little more time to work, but it is cheaper and healthier.

3. Instead of using chap stick or lip balm, use castor oil on dry lips. If you will be out in the sun, use the castor oil, then use a lip balm that protects the lips from the sun over the castor oil.

4. Treat dry skin with almond and grapeseed oil. These are better than commercial moisturizers, and they work faster. You can also use avocado oil. Apply a thin layer in the morning, then another thin layer at night. Make sure your pores are open when you apply the treatment.

5. Treat razor burn with aloe vera gel. Don't just use products that contain aloe, because they contain other drying ingredients as well, such as alcohol. Instead, buy yourself an aloe vera plant from your local nursery. Cut off one of the leaves, and cut it open - that's the gel you want to apply to irritated or razor burned skin!

There are countless home remedies for clear skin that you can use. These are just some of the most popular, and most effective. However, not all home remedies are for everyone. If you notice that any of these treatments cause dry or irritated skin, or cause acne breakouts, discontinue use, and try something else.
