Tips for clear skin? There are loads of them, but the ones we have here are the simplest to follow. They are so simple that most people tend to forget or ignore them.
Basic tips for clear skin often start with this one:
1. Keep it clean. Never go to sleep without washing your face. The dirt that accumulated throughout the day should be removed before you put your head on the pillow.
2. Speaking of pillows, change your pillow cases regularly. Changing your pillow cases at least twice a week might sound very basic, but it is something that most of us often ignore. Your face would lie on those pieces of cloth for at least six hours everyday, so you'd better make sure that they are clean.
3. Don't put your hands on your face all the time. Avoid picking at spots or pimples on your face. If you have a tendency to touch your face with your hands, make sure that your hands are always clean. Better yet, cure the tendency.
4. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Proper diet is still the best way to get a clear skin. The vitamins and minerals, not to mention the water that these foods contain are what we need to get a healthy complexion.
5. Drink plenty of water. At least eight glasses of water a day should be the regimen. Our skin needs water all the time, particularly during the summer months. If you engage in activities that make you sweat, increase your water intake to compensate for what you've lost.
6. Avoid direct contact with the sun as much as possible. Particularly between 10 A.M. and 4 P.M. If you need to go out during this period, make sure that you apply sunblock on areas that will be exposed to the sun like your face and your arms.
7. Exercise. Physical activity gets our blood pumping and helps oxygen to circulate more effectively in our body. This gives our skin more vibrancy and keeps it healthy.
8. Use minimal makeup. If you can avoid it, don't bother. Too much chemicals on our face often leads to skin breakouts, irritations, pimples and other unwanted conditions.
9. Moisturize. Particularly if you're hitting the age of 30 (and above). As we age, we tend to lose moisture in our skin. Applying mild moisturizer before going to bed will help keep the skin supple and young-looking.
10. Get at least eight hours of sleep everyday. Lack of sleep dries our skin. Try to get a good sleep everyday, it does help and it's free.
Basic tips for clear skin often start with our everyday habits. Proper diet, physical fitness and basic hygiene are the foundation for a healthy skin and a healthy body. There's nothing difficult in following these tips, we just need to remember them all the time.
