Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Irritable bowel, sometimes referred to as spastic colon or colitis, is a digestive disorder. It has been determined that one in every five adults experience symptoms of IBS, although very few seek help. Some of the symptoms include diarrhea or constipation; even altering between the two at times, as well as abdominal pain, which can be excruciating. Other symptoms range between bloating, flatulence, mucous, and intolerance to certain foods, namely lactose. Most dread eating because of the abdominal pain, headaches and diarrhea. As a result of not being able to digest, a malabsorption of vitamins and minerals exist, making one very deficient in nutrients greatly needed.
The simplest way to bring about any normal functioning is to cleanse the colon of the mucous lining that is inhibiting the peristaltic wave or the rhythmic muscular contraction from being regular and coordinated. This is done through irrigating the colon with pure, temperature controlled water that gently circulates throughout your colon, coaxing your body into eliminating stored toxins and mucous from different areas. This process is referred to as Colon Irrigation, Colon Hydrotherapy or Colonics. It is a very simple non-invasive and non-painful method that was used by doctors throughout the country even before pharmaceutical drugs were introduced. The success rate of this procedure is extremely high, making it a number one choice of correction above and beyond medications. Some of the more natural nutrients that can be taken to aid in balancing the dysfunction that is being experience would be as follows:
Acidophilus/Bio-Bifidus – Which is used to replenish the “friendly” bacteria needed for digestion.
Aloe Vera – Aides in healing the digestive tract.
Garlic – Helps aid in digestion and destruction of toxins in the colon.
Peppermint Tea – Relieves upset stomach and gas. Also aids in healing and digestion.
Fiber (Psyllium, Flaxseed, or Oat bran) – Sweeps and cleanses the colon.
Alfalfa – Needed for proper absorption of foods, carbohydrates, fats and protein.
Pancreatin and Enzymes – Prevents the “leaky gut syndrome,” and aids in protein digestion. Reduces inflammation.
Vitamins and Minerals – Supplies the nutrients not absorbed.
Calcium and Magnesium – Helps the nervous stomach.
It is beneficial to eat a high-fiber diet, including fresh fruits and vegetables along with whole grains. Many find it beneficial to introduce into their diet soy, almond, or goats milk in place of cow milk for easier digestion and absorption. Dairy products are not tolerated by most that experience IBS, nor are carbonated beverages, coffee, sugar, additives, animal fats, processed foods and most wheat products. All tend to encourage the secretion of mucus by the membranes and prevent the nutrients from being absorbed.
Certain drugs and antibiotics increase the need for nutritional supplements. Always take additional acidophilus/bifidus when taking antibiotics to decrease the risk of yeast infections. If you experience chronic diarrhea from IBS then electrolyte and trace mineral deficiencies are likely to occur. To correct this, take additional minerals, and for the electrolyte balance, drink freshly made juice in this proportion: 4 ounces of apple to 4 ounces of celery juice. It will bring the electrolytes back in balance.
Changing your diet and taking additional supplements aids in correcting IBS, but until the mucous is expelled the cause has not been eliminated. Doing Colon Irrigations will get to the “cause” without wasting your time and money on the symptoms that are constantly being experienced. Many fear that Colon Irrigations will be painful or intimidating, but after the process they realize that it is very private, comfortable, and they look forward to doing another session because of the great relief and ease of it all. Most listen to music, read a magazine or talk on their phone throughout the whole procedure. What could be simpler than that! Take time to call for a session today so that you too can be back into the rhythm of things tomorrow without the pain, the bloating, or the diarrhea that you suffer from at random, and that keeps you from living life to its fullest.
