Acne home remedy may work for one person but not on another. This is because each individual has a unique type of skin that might react differently to home remedies proven to be effective on others. The good thing about home solutions to acne, though, is that they are easy to prepare and the ingredients are mostly very much available.
Acne home remedy is still preferred by a lot of people despite the availability of more sophisticated ways of treating pimples. And why not? Just look around in your kitchen or your pantry and you will find most of the ingredients that can help you alleviate acne without having to leave the comfort of your home. For those who prefer to stay at home and take care of business themselves, here are some recommended remedies.
Remedies that can be found in your kitchen
Most overnight remedies for acne can be found right in your kitchen. One of the more common ones is lemon. From juice to skin, this piece of citrus is considered as one of the most useful anti-acne materials around. One method is to mix the juice of the lemon with equal quantity of rose water and apply it to the face. Wait for 30 minutes before washing it off with water.
Another way is to use the skin of the lemon to massage the face for a few minutes or until the juice of the skin has dried up and then wash it off with lukewarm water. If you have more patience, you can apply the lemon juice on the affected areas and wait overnight before washing it off. This way, the juice will have more time to penetrate the skin and attack the cause of the acne.
Another common remedy that you can find lying around in the kitchen is garlic. Crushing one or two garlic cloves and applying them to the affected area one to two times a day can help solve your zit problems. They could be rather smelly, but they are proven to be effective. If you prefer something that smells better than garlic, then grinding orange peels and mixing them with water to make a facial paste might be a better option. Leave the paste for at least an hour and then wash it off with clean water.
Most acne home remedy and solutions are easy enough to prepare, but people seeking solutions to their skin problems should remember that their reaction to these kitchen-based remedies might differ from another person. For long-term skin solutions, having a proper diet with lots of fruits and vegetables and getting enough sleep and exercise are still the best ways to take care of your skin.
